Can Not Send Outgoing Email

Any idea on what I should do? I'm receiving the following message anytime I attempt to respond to an email. Incoming is fine, just outgoing.
Here's the message I receive:
"The Connection to the outgoing server bob failed. Additional outgoing servers can be configured in settings"
