Black and white screen

Hello,

i use Dell laptop and currently updated window8 into window8.1.sometime sceen becomes black and white with runing lining for few seconds having fonts whitish but soon recover to normal.plz someone tell me what is happening?and how it can be solved.i would be very gratefull.

Sounds like an intermittent hardware failure. It will probably get more frequent until the video fails entirely.

Solution? Replacement of the motherboard.
