Photoshop CS3 Can't open my files properly

hi guys i have a problem with photo shop duh haha... ok well to the point.

basically when i attempt to open saved files the computer freezes for about 10minutes while attempting to open the file....it eventually opens and some times just takes to long and freezes altogether....is there any way any one can help me i thought it might be registry problems but im not sure???

please help.

what's your computer configuration? CS3 needs a powerful pc to b run
