Fans on but screens black? Help?

Hello,

My screen is Black but it seems the fan is on.

I have held the power down for 30+ seconds.

I have unplugged the cable and it seems to still have power.

Not sure what to do??!

IS this a PC desktop or laptop? You have to give us some specifications as not to give you wrong instruction!

Its a laptop! Its some Sony VAIO laptop! :)

OK, remove all cables, and take the battery out. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. Put it back together and see if it boots.
