Hello,

I'm with Gail (above question). My laptop is newer and doesn't have the extra tabs you are speaking of. I put my laptop in to High Performance under Power Options, must as someone had mentioned!

My battery is not bad! Tested in my sister's laptop and she has the exact same one. Her battery does the same thing as my battery does in my laptop. Her battery is just as good as mine. She has no issues with her laptop!

Didn't start having these issues until we had my computer cleaned up and started up fresh. Had a lot of viruses and someone hacking in to my computer and stealing information. I leave for flight attendant school in a week and need my laptop in proper working condition.

My dad has tried fixing this issue twice, and here comes round three! He knows his computers very well but can't seem to figure this one problem out!

It hard drops immediately when unplugged. Battery says "battery #1: 0% available (plugged in, not charging) and battery #2: 0% available (plugged in, not charging).

Hello ashlee,
Did you try to open your laptop by yourself? (removing screws and take out the motherboard?)

Why would I need to look at the motherboard? The computer works. Just doesn't stay on without being plugged in.

Hello ashlee,
You said , you try your laptop battery with your sister's laptop and still the problem in her laptop also..Did you try her laptop battery with your laptop?..
Generally the life time of a laptop battery is 2 years (3 years max)..
You said you bought it four years back..
Probably your battery dead!

no. I said... I put my battery in the same laptop my sister has and it works perfect. I put her battery in mine and it does the battery error and won't charge. but her battery works perfect in her laptop too. so it isn't that the battery is dead.

Hello

Obviously you have a power supply issue to which only a hands-on technician can attend to.

Good luck
