Help creating an automated sheet

I need to create an excel sheet that will automatically search information on a "raw data" sheet and give results on a different sheet "sheet 1". I would like to enter a date range on "sheet 1" and have excel search "raw data" for the date range and provide amount of data used (Columns B and D) for the days individually and as a whole. The catch is I need it separated by time frames 00:00:00-05:00:00 and 05:00:00-00:00:00. The goal is to see how much data was used during the day and how much was used during the night for each day or 30 day period.

How often do you want this automation (because it would be automatic, of course) to take place?
I am certain every time you open it, it would be inconvenient.

I would like for it to run after I update the "raw data" sheet with new data each month or from a different account. It doesn't have to be automatic once opened, but automatic after inputting a date range. You will notice that the data is continually increasing. I need this sheet to find the data on 2015-05-0100:00:00 and subtract it from the data found on 2015-05-0105:00:00. That would show me how much data was used the night of 2015-05-01.
