Anti-virus which does not slow down one's PC

Can anyone plz advice me on the best antivirus software which does not slow down one's PC. I have been advised by many to use NOD 32 Antivirus, however i am still unsure. Plz help me with this!

Hello

All antivirus software have scanning engines which will slow down computers, try to pick one that suits your system hardware.

However I recommend you avoid Norton and McAfee.

But Ambucias, how should i know that which antivirus software is the most adequate for my system hardware.

Look at the system requirements and compare them to yours.
