Hello,
Im having the black screen problem.
Last night i smacked my PC whit my and i was só pissed on a game. Then i turn him off and when i turn it on for the first time i was getting the black screen whit my capslock light on/off and my AC port always on. I went search on internet i discovered the there is a nessage in the light of the caps lock light and the AC it was refered to the memory problems soni removed the RAM and shitched slot but still the black screen. I tried evithing whit a monitor, turn off hold poder button, everithing that i discovered i tried. My PC is a Compaq Presario CQ-57.
PLS help me its very boring whithout a pc.

you said you tried most things on the internet so i hop you haven't done this
If you are using Windows 7. insert the a Windows 7 OS Disc and let it boot from the CD and choose to repair.
