I have a Toshiba sat running still with Windows Vista

Hello,

As soon as I turn it on an brings starting windows up.the screen goes black. If I let to run and then close it n turn it on then it shows the log in screen for like .5 secs then goes black again. I'd really like to fix it so I don't have to buy a new one

This sounds like a motherboard failure. It's probably not something that the average home user can fix themselves. And buying a new laptop or tablet will be cheaper than paying someone to fix it.

No I have another mother board for. I just really didn't feel like doing the work cause laptop are stressful. I prefer dealing with desktops myself. But you think it's the motherboard can you give me any better advice. Like what part or place on the motherboard

I agree laptops are stressful to repair yourself.

On second thought - sometimes a failed memory module can have these symptoms. Have you tried swapping them out?
I don't think it is usually you have a blue
