Hello there,

I encountered a problem I have never seen before: No switch to be found. I moved my laptop from one end of the yard to the other, and all of a sudden, I had no more internet connection.

I also realized that my light was not on in the front of the computer. I looked and searched on the entire computer and nothing.

Of course I could only work offline, and a suggestion was made to use the function keys, but to no avail. I also have a blue major key that activates the icons on the function keys and I'm not even sure that they are the right ones.

How do I turn on my network adapter back on without a switch? I always had a switch and thought that they were standard. I now have an HP Compaq 8510p. I am using the cable to my tv box at the time and am limited to the floor! lol

Help me please, and hope I can get this all taken care of soon. Thanks for all you time and support, as well as a prompt answer (I'm not sure how this works :)).

Wishing you a Great Day! I'll be waiting.... on the floor :-D

Brigitte

The hardware manual shows a wireless switch - here is a link:
