Wireless-G USB Network Adapter on XP.

Hello, I've recently acquired another computer in my home. I have the Linksys Wireless Router 2.4 and the Wireless-G USB Adapter as well. I've been trying to connect the adapter to the other computer and it's not recognizing it. The router works on both computers but I'm getting nothing from the adapter itself. I've tried downloading the program for it as got nothing from that as well. Can anyone tell me what it is I'm doing wrong?
