Intermittent connection with the router
Unstable connection to the router is one of the major causes of inconsistent wireless connections.
Physical obstructions
Other factors that will cause signal degradation are obstructions such as walls and metal appliances.
Distance issues
Wireless technology is radio-based, which means connectivity and the throughput performance between devices decreases when the distance between devices increases. Connection speed may decrease as you move your computer farther from the range extender.
Traffic in connected devices
Since all your wireless devices are sharing the same network, check if you have another device that is generating a lot of network traffic that will compromise the performance of other devices on the network. Move high-traffic devices closer to the range extender, or wire them to your router using an Ethernet cable.
Wireless interferences
Wireless networks are also susceptible to obstructions that may lead to low signal. Oftentimes, the signal gets reflected, refracted, or absorbed by the obstruction.
Common sources of interference are:
Neighboring wireless networks
Microwave ovens
2.4 GHz cordless telephones
Bluetooth® devices
Wireless baby monitors
Outdated firmware
Outdated firmware of the range extender can sometimes cause connection issues in your network. To fix this, you need to upgrade the firmware of your router.
If one of the above is the reason or check your wireless extender near to your router and see whether it is working good really or extender itself a problem.
