Antivirus download error

Hello,

i have been experiencing an application error with my avira these past few weeks. I can't update the antivirus... and so I decided to just uninstall the application, download from their official site and reinstall (thinking that it will solve the problem). now, I can only install the avira launcher then.... "antivirus download error" appears.
i have been using avira for over 6 years now, I haven't encountered any problems before this one. help please :(

Did you have any other anti-virus installed other than AVIRA?
Error occurred while downloading an installation file
