A lan network

Hello,I've got some problem so i beg you for some help so here it is!
I got my wireless Internet Connection and i want to make an local area network with my dad,but the problem is I only have a one enterance for cable jack in my computer what should i do? I want to have an internet connection and lan connection at the same time pls help!

hello. you must buy a switch to share the connection with your dad. a standard switch can support up to 4 to 8 connections

if you have two pc in total then a crossover connection will do.
