Hello,

Hello,
My main modem and links router are downstairs on the first floor, and ive connected a 75 cat 6 cable to my room on the second floor to a belkin router. It previously had been working fine for years, but suddenly stopped. I notice when i plug it in directly to my PC it works fine, but i get a media disconnected error when trying to connect it through the router. To trouble shoot i took the router downstairs and it connects fine with another cable, and i get activity but not upstairs, so the cable has to be the issue, but why would it work fine with the PC, but not the router.

Thanks alot in advance guys,
also i should point out that i tried with an additional links router upstairs and had the same problem.

You can't have two router's connected without disabling DHCP on the second router.

Good luck
