HELP!!! PC won't boot

I have a fairly new gateway PC. We have it connected to a projector. Someone was trying to boot pc in safemode. I beleive he checked or unchecked something that he should not have. Since then the system will not boot up. The lights are on the cd drive comes in and out the monitor is blank and the system is not responding. Please help

Please try to open boot menu on your computer by pressing f8 key while it is restarting. once it will be restarted then it will start working properly.
