title continued: but other USB devices work just fine.
My Computer is an Acer Aspire X3400G
My mouse and keyboard won't connect through any usb port yet my speakers and phones work fine. I made sure to check to see if for some reason both my mice and my keyboard just decided to screw up and stop working entirely, by plugging them into my laptop. They worked as they should.
If anyone can help me with my situation, it will be much appreciated.
(I would like to point out that my computer has to recognize my mouse before it will log me on and get to the home screen.. so I can't do anything that requires me being logged onto my pc for help, since my mouse won't connect)

Did you able to enter into BIOS using the same keyboard? If so try to check out for the option USB keyboard/Mouse is enabled.
Did you try any other keyboard and mouse?
