Hello,

Try this 1

If you notice that your CPU fan is running but there is no display in

the screen, then check your RAM also.

Remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try

another slot.

If you are having two RAMs then remove it, place only one RAM and

check if you are able to get the display. If the problem still exists then

change the slot. If the problem still exists then try the above procedure

with the other RAM.

If you have no idea about RAM, then click on the below hyperlinks

I really appreciate your reply. Power supply fan is not running. Removed the motherboard cable & shorted pin 16 (power on) to pin 17 (ground) on plug. Power supply fan came on & I tested all voltages as I saw on some youtube video's & all checked good. I now suspect the motherboard might be bad. It was failing intermittently at first, I was having to engage the power button several times & it would eventually come on. I bought a new windows 10 machine & got all needed info xferred before the old machine finally gave up. Also have most info backed up on EXT HDD. I also checked the power button & it checks good. Trying to get the old machine fixed for a spare if it is not to costly. If you have any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your reply.

Thanks, as far as I can tell from visually checking them with a flashlight they look good.
