Hi Shona
- Open Device Manager (Start > right click Computer > choose manage. In the left pane of the window that pops up click Device Manager.)
- If its not already expanded double click on DVD/CD ROM drives.
- Right click on your DVD drive and choose uninstall. If if asks to delete drivers say no.
- Restart your machine.
Hopefully you will now have a functioning DVD drive.
