Playing sims 2 on UBUNTU Liniux

Hello,
I want to play sims 2 on ubuntu linux..
but every time I put the CD in it doesn't access it..
Can someone give me a step by step..
On like how to download wine etc.

If you install Wine on Ubuntu/Linux, Sometimes the executable File will run automatically. If nothing appears on the screen, you have to explore the CD for the setup file. If an error message comes up when you attempt to load up the setup file, right click on the setup file and extract it to the desktop. Then run it from the desktop. If a error message comes up then, right click on it and then open the properties. Make sure that it an run it as an executable File. If it works after that, then the programme should go through the same process on other OS's like Windows XP and Windows Vista

You need wine to play windows games on Ubuntu
to install wine use the command :
sudo apt-get install wine

You can also install playonlinux is an emulator based on wine a make it easy to install and play a lot of games on linux ,to install it on ubuntu please see this tutorial on http://www.come2linux.com and follow the installation steps
