Facebook registered to my old phone number

how can I open up my facebook I am having problems with it it is registered to my old phone number and I do not have service or have the phone anymore and the website which was the email address that was inside the phone now I want my facebook to be on this one and I cannot get the code to open it and I keep on entering my my password and it doesnt let me open my facebook and it seemed kind of funny because the last time I opened up my facebook was more than a year ago for personal reasons
