Hi Appu,
You have to right click the pendrive and select quick format option there. In this way you can easily format the pendrive.

Hey there, Appu.
You're lucky you weren't able to format the pen drive. If you have important files, please stop trying to format it as this could be data destructive.
Instead you should try to recover files before you reformat the USB flash drive.
First you should try the flash drive with a different computer/device, to see if the same thing happens. If you have no luck with that, you could try accessing it via Ubuntu Live USB/DVD (this is basically a portable, freeware, bootable version of Linux), to see if it's properly recognized and if you can get to your files. If that doesn't help as well, I guess you could try out some data recovery programs, to see if you'd be able to retrieve your data.
Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Hi Appu,
In order to save your data you do what Boogieman had suggested and if nothing works out you can continue to format your pendrive.
