I strongly suggest that you do not try to delete it, unless, of course, you are looking for system trouble and data lost.

I would start with checking what is in that folder. Make sure all the files and folders are visible from Folder Options. Additionally, delete all temporary internet files from your internet browser. Do you have a lot of valuable information on the Desktop or in the My Documents, My Video, My Music, etc. folders?
Try using the Windows Disk Cleanup tool and manage your System Restore files. Depending on the selected settings those may occupy a lot of capacity. I leave a link with some more suggestions:
