I have an Asus Republic of Gamers laptop. It is anout five years old, and I recently replaced the hard drive. It will not turn on (not even for a couple seconds) and the charging light does not activate either. I'm fairly certain nothing is wrong with my charger, and it had a fair bit of battery when I last shut it off. It suddenly stopped working this morning, and I have already tried holding the power button while not giving it power. Any possibilities? I know I'm not giving a lot to go off of.

Thank you for your time

Did it ever boot after the HDD replacement? If so, have you tried the battery trick?

When you did the battery trick, did you separate the power adapter into two separate cords. The adapter will "overcharge" and no allow any AC power through it. Let it sit for 5 minutes nt plugged into anything!
