MSN convesation history

Hello,
Msn,(instant messenger), keeps the conversation history . It files them in a Chat Log folder in My Docs. I do not want the conversations kept as the computer is used by all of the family. I have gone into tools - options - messages and ensured the "automatically keep history of my conversations"box is unchecked, but it still saves them! How can I stop it saving my conversations?

hi,
try to uninstall msn and install it again.
this should ix the problem.

Ok thank you very much, I would like to keep the version I have rather than updating, is there a a way I can uninstall and then install the older version?

Well, on FileHippo they have lots of versions... https://filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/?ex=CORE-116.4 then, just look on the right for your own version.
