The Google Talk app for Windows is going to be shut down on February 23, 2015.
What does this mean for me?
If you try to use the Google Talk app after February 23rd, 2015, you’ll see a sign-in error and we’ll send you an email explaining what’s happened.
How to keep chatting with my contacts?
To keep chatting with your contacts, you can use the Hangouts Chrome desktop app. You can use the same account that you used with Google Talk to sign in to the Hangouts app. Your contacts from Google Talk will show up automatically in the Hangouts app.
