Hello arunk,
In order to be able to help you in a better way, I need you to provide me with more detailed information regarding your issue. When did you start to get this type of issue? Are you working on laptop or it's a desktop PC? Did you made any hardware/software changes to your PC recently?
If you work with a PC, my suggestion is to unplug the power supply unit from your motherboard and to check if the cables of the hard drive are connected properly. When you plug back the PSU, reboot the PC and enter the BIOS menu. Then, look for the Storage menu and change the operating mode from IDE to AHCI if you have the option.
Once you've done that, execute the following command:
chkdsk /r
followed by Enter and wait for the system to scan the drive.
Hope this helps. Cheers.
