Flash Drive not recognized

Hi,
I plugged in my flash drive and copied some files to it. Windows prompted me to scan and repair it and I did that with only the first option selected(Error checking- automatically fix file system errors), after that my flash drives name changed but it was working fine. I safely removed it and connected it to my smart tv but it didn't show, so I connected it back to my pc and after then it always shows usb device not recognized. I have tried:-
1) Uninstalling the usb drivers and restarting.
2) connecting the flash drive to another pc.
3) shutting down my pc for a while and removing all power sources.
4) changing the slot in which I stick my flash drive.
Nothing seems to work. I tried the diskpart utility in cmd but it too fails to detect any other disks. Also the windows disk management too does not show the drive. I tried some linux commands but still no relief. I really have to get this flash drive working again cause it's my friend's. Please provide some insight and help.
