Hi Sstyendra,
Do you get some error message when trying to format the drive? Using Command Prompt was a good decision. Please try to format it on another PC or while you are booting in Safe Mode. There are some models with a small lock switch. Check if your pendrive has one. Is the device recognized in Disk Management? If it is, does it have a proper file format and a drive letter?
