I have been without sound on my desktop for almost a week !

Helllo, I keep on getting the message no sound - for about a week now, I am slowly
going crazy. However I did learn something, just how frustrating for someone who loses this faculty, not an easy thing to live.
How can I get my sound back - I have Windows 10 - I did do a refresh or something similar, now my sound is gone. Can someone help me ? Sorry no photo of me.
