Laptop battery

Hello,

I've an advent Torino z200 laptop. The charger stopped working a few weeks back. I an old laptop charger that I've been trying to use. The power light on my laptop is flashing red when the plug is in, however it won't switch on. I can't take the battery out as it appears to be built in. Someone please help I need some files off Asap

Often you can remove the hard drive and put it into a USB hard drive enclosure. That will convert it to an external drive.
