I received a think pad but it's language setting is Chinese. If this is default or would there be no English at if that was so? If this is not default then I suppose i could factory reset it. It is running XP and Windows 2007. But even finding the language section is been unsuccessful since its all in chinese I dont know which one to change it too. lol HELP plse.

How did get in Chinese in the first place?

it is second hand and came to me that way. There are plenty of areas that are in english but most in chinese.

I see...

You must:

1. Access the control panel, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel

2. Go to regional and language settings (looks like a globe)

3. Open the language settings, scroll and find English

You will tell me that you don't know Mandarin, I understand
Settings would be this : 設置
Control panel: 控制面板
Regional and language settings: 區域和語言環境
