I want to validate the data format

Hi
I need to verify/validate the data in a column, it should be "AAAA-16-0001" format. If the data is not in the specified format, i need to have a column which prints boolean FALSE? Please help.

No, it is not a replacement for previous one. The previous requirement is validate format from another worksheet. Can you please suggest a solution.

Not clear to me what you mean by "AAAA-16-0001" format.
Could you provide a few samples of data matching that format, and of data not matching that format?
