Well it may be made for 7, that is why it won't run on XP! XP is older.
What this game came out in 2003 ans was made for XP beside I can't play it on 7.

I must have been mistaken, as you stated:
"I have no problems with it on win 7"

How much ram does the machine have? What about the video card? What speed is the CPU (in GHZ)?
I did not say that ac3mark if you read the first sentence I said "I'm trying to reinstall Need For Speed: Underground back onto my clean boot of XP Pro" That's the OS i'm talking about not Windows 7. Anyway I have tried to install it with much success just now I installed the game without much problem but it won't start. Maybe because I didn't install the video card's driver yet, but putting that aside here's my setup:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana Triple-Core 3.3 GHz (unlock to a AMD phenom II X4 B55 3.31 GHz)

Video card: EVGA GeForce 750 Ti 2GB

RAM: 8GB (with 3GB readable)

Put the card in and it should work!

I am still confused why you mention Win7 at all then. Oh well, my bad!
