Trouble coping DVD with Magic DVD copier

I am trying the free trail for this Magic DVD copier but I'm having trouble. Don't think it's the program..thinking it's something with my PC but could use some guidance. I have 1CLick DVD Copy 5 and loved it but it wasn't reading my movies I suppose..it would go through the process and claim it was successful but the DVD was blank..looked it up and found that they claim DVD43 was nolonger compatible with windows 8.1..?? so now I'm try this program Magic DVD copier before purchasing it but it seems to be doing the same thing..copy successful but DVD still blank..could someone please help me..!!
