Hi nandhu,
Please connect a removable drive and open Disk Management. Is the drive correctly recognized with file format and a drive letter? Are you using some kind of adapter or you are connecting the drives directly to the PC? Sometimes failing adapters may cause similar issues.
If the problem persists, I would recommend you to update your USB drivers from the motherboard manufacturer’s web page. I advise you to update your antivirus and do complete system check. Is reinstalling the OS an option?
