The product key is 25 characters long, and you have to contact the product manufacturor. (It's definitely not on your laptop!) I had the same problem a couple of months ago and they just gave me a new code after I proved to them that I had purchased Microsoft Office 2007. Hope this helps! :) N

the product key is not on your laptop, it will be with the disk that you bought. i think its like 20 characters long.
