Reset tablet to factory cannot get signed on

I have a tablet and had to reset to factory. Now I cannot get passed signing into the google account because it keeps asking for the password that I used when I first set it up. Not for sure what that password was and have tried to change it but will not let me proceed until I have the password I set it up with. Not for sure what I should be doing

We are terribly sorry but CCM cannot help you to recover your lost password, because you can’t prove that you are the legitimate owner. . Everyday computers are stolen, although you may be honest, we do not wish to help potential criminals.
