Hello,
I am haing compaq presario c700 laptop, previously it was working on vista.Now i have installed windows xp 2002 on it.Sound system of my laptop is not working properly it becomes disable after one or two days and after doing enable it and updating the driver it starts but it gives some messege that my driver is not proper but vendor said that the driver is proper.apart from this headphone & speakers sounds simustaneously and microphone is not working. all it happens after the installation of xp. kindly provide me solution and proper sound driver for my laptop.

Hello where did you get the audio driver from?? you can try to download it from the Hp compaq websites

Hello,

First install the Microsoft UAA package ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33867.exe

Then ur Conexant Audio device ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe
