Lag and sound help

sup guys

My mum went on the lottery website and right after it, I lag like hell in steam games and have no sound in anything on my comp and the net(that uses sound). It worked perfectly b4. Can you tell me a solution and why it happened??

You can do a system restore.. choose the date when your pc was working fine
