Hello!

I have an Asus s46c since 2013.

I accidentally spilled some water on my keyboard yesterday but I managed to dry it. However today, it's not working at all. For example, when I type "hello" it looks like this: h5
Letters llo doesn't show (I'm using onscreen keyboard now).
When I type the delete button, this shows instead: ]

So some keys type out the right letters, but most of the keys aren't working.

I've used a hairdryer to dry out my keyboard; I've tried shift+ctrl+alt+numlk but it doesn't work cuz the actual keys don't work and onscreen keyboard doesn't really command those functions lol. I've even reformatted my computer because I thought I had a virus. It's still the same and not working.

Is there a way to fix my keyboard? Or is the damage irreversible? I'm glad there's onscreen keyboard so I can use it in the meantime but it takes forever and hurts my hand and wrist.... :(

Please help, thank you!

For the time being you probably can use an external keyboard.

Your actual laptop keyboard probably need to be replaced as the water probably created circuit shortcuts.
