Problem with my dell laptop

Hello,

I have recently purchased a DELL studio 14 laptop. Installed Windows XP as an OS. The problem is when i plug in the headphones the voice output is from both the things, Headphones as well as from the Laptop speakers. I have realtek driver installed too, but still the problem persisits. Please can any body help me out.

hi there,

may be your hardware is damaged

the female socket may be damaged

try using another jack
