The sims 3 won't switch to live mode

Hello,
ok so i made a new town and a new person after i bought the sims 3 world adventures. i finally finished making my house and it won't switch to live mode. I've tried practically everything and i have no idea what to do anymore. help plz... i really don't want to close the game without saving.
