hey i have windos 7 and i connected my desktop to my LCD tv and my sound doesnt work?
i am connected using a VGA a cable but i have an adapter cuz my tv only had HDMI ports so its HDMI to VGA i think i know VGA only does video i got aauidio cable that plugs into a headphone jack from desktop to tv and sound is still not working?

you are going to need to connect the audio from your laptop another way. as you may know, vga only sends video signals.

What is the specs of your sound card on your computer? The better the card the better the sounds you are going to get from your tv

how are you connecting your computer to your tv?
what cables are you using?
