Laptop antenna cable

Hi I purchased a laptop from a yard sale it is in great condtion only thing it was missing was built in wireless card and harddrive I purchased both of those at my local bestbuy.When I install the wirless card into the jack I dont see the antenna cable ive looked everywhere the question I have is will my built in wireless card still work without the antenna cables connected to it the model number of the laptop is a compaq presario v2000

Hi there,

It has the wireless option ,it may have been removed,its better you make use of a usb wireless dongle to be able to use it correctly,Normally antenna are found on the lcd,here is a picture of it:
