computer is shut down but cpu light is onClosed

Question

Hello, 

i have start my pc today morning then i do not work on pc  and i left the computer on after some time (4 hours) i come and see the cpu lights is on but mouse and keyboard lights are gone and moniter shutdown instred of  screen saver .
pls reply me what is the problem and what is the solution?

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi there,

It may have gone to sleep or automatically shut down as 4 hours is too long ,get in control panel>power management and change the settings for idle time.

Yes either you display on your monitor is bad and needs to be changed or your motherboard went out and needs to be replaced... Lets just pray its the first issue and not the motherboard, because that's pricey... Hope this helps...
