Thats the problem ''you heard'' but the person who said it to you may have no complete information on it or forgot to tell you it can be installed with a minimum of 1 Gb ram for vista and windows 7 ,the complete requirements and all required information you need you can have them on these links from official microsoft website, 2Gb if windows 7:
