Laptop on battrey only for 2 hours

Hello,
I have a Toshiba L500 laptop. The battrey only lasts for 2 hours when it is not plugged to the electricity. Is there a way how to extend the time from 2 hours to ...let's say 4 hours or more? Do I have to replace the battrey or it is a matter inside the laptop it self, that makes the time only for 2 hours before ithe battrey goes off and stops working?!

Hello,

Two hours of charging, it is quite normal for a laptop battery because the lifetime of the battery decreases gradually as time.
