No cd/dvd drive in device manager

Hello, I have a HP pavilion 9700 and the cd/dvd drive ain't coming up in device manager i downloaded driver finder and no luck, also my build in webcam is not working either. On the boot order in setup cdrom is enable and on the list. I am using windows vista home premium 32 bit, and hp advisor is doing nothing to help w/ the problem

The is no registry thingies in regedit

Please help and thanks in advance

also Microsoft Mr. Fixit does nothing
