Hello,



so i went and bought a nice new asus M5A78L-M motherboard stupidly thinking it would slot into the old dell dimension 5100 case but sadly it is not even near. can anybody suggest a sensible box to purchase to build my new tower please.

Hi jennijennijenni,

Your choice of the motherboard, ASUS M5A78L-M LX, is indeed a good one. This motherboard has uATX Form Factor (read as Micro ATX Form Factor), which is 9.6 inch x 7.4 inch in size. You will need a chassis/cabinet which can accommodate uATX Form Factor motherboards. You can check the below mentioned links for a few suggested cabinets:

thanks Zohaib R, i've ordered a corsair 650D box, it said "ATX" so i hope it will fit!!

I have checked the technical specifications of "Corsair Obsidian Series 650D", this cabinet is good for a "mATX" form factor motherboard. Your "ASUS M5A78L-M LX" should fit into this chassis.
